Scotland Day 3 July 11, 2010

We left Inverness. We went to a battlefield. Where boney Prince Charlie fought the british government. He was a Stewart which is who I guess should be the royal family of Scotland. All the road signs are in Gallic and English. Next was a graveyard that was celtic and had round mounds of stones. These domes are older then stonehenge. The stones that surrounded the mounds followed the sun and the moon. It was very green and very thing was covered with moss. The ground felt boggy it had some bounce to it.
Then we drove to the Whiskey distillery. It was suppose to be smooth and fruity. It wasn't!
After the distillery we drove to Blair castle of the clan of Murray. Queen Victoria would stay at the castle. Duke of Athol was awarded colors by the Queen which means they have their own private legal army, it is the only one in Europe.
Blair Castle was white and not as large as I had thought. We weren't allowed to take pictures. They have peacocks walking the ground.

The Birham woods on the way back to Edinburgh were the Bitrix Potter based Peter Rabbit.
